Haiku #4 footprints in the dust

            a pleasant morning

the earth turning on a breeze –

            still lake, still mountain

           morning revelry –

the sound of tires on the road,

            waves lapping the shore

            spring melting away;

Lake Chapala shimmers

            in air warm to the touch

  1. I am now, a friend of mine gave me a copy of frogpond 37:1 to read this week. I’ve been writing poems for going on half a century and just now, inspired by living in paradise, have come to explore Haiku. Part of my inspiration and learning to appreciate the beauty of it comes from reading blogs like yours.
